The “Rattay Wala” is a late-season Chaunsa mango from the Multan region of Pakistan, also known as Azeem Chaunsa (“Great Chaunsa”). It is characterized by a raw, rustic, and very flavorful taste, and is known for minimal fiber and rigid pulp compared to other Chaunsa varieties. The Rattay Wala is popular for its ability to hold its ground when other mangoes are gone, lasting through the end of August to mid-October and is prized for both domestic consumption and export to countries in the Middle East and Europe.Â
